PINKY- Too Much for Lady Gaga??

One afternoon I had a brainstorm of sorts...to make a Pacman ghost hat with a glamorous twist! Yes, genius, I told myself...and so I set out to make this super-fun hat (with veil of course-because it just ain't a hat without veil). I like it a lot, it's supposed to be funny and unusual. Pinky made it onto Fashionablygeek.com (click here to ready their review)- but they didn't love it. What do you think?

 

  

NY Fashion Week: The Blondes 2010

Well, I have saved the best for last: The Blondes. They like to mix things up and keep the crazy level on high, but hey, that's why I love them! The over the top sparkle, layers of embellishment, eye popping corsets, well, you get the idea. I love the mix of hard core hardware with feminine shapes.  If Lady Gaga had any sense she would hire The Blondes as here lifetime atelier!

Lady Gaga VS Beyonce

Ok- so I just want you all to know I really debated about watching the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards this year. I didn't even watch last year because 2007 was so disappointing. But I digress. I was really looking forward to seeing Lady Gaga perform, because I really haven't seen her do anything live. Boy, it was really a let down. Not only was it not visually stunning, it was weird, and boring. She's not a great singer, and really not a great dancer, and we all know what that means: she's riding the image. I do, however; respect her over the top fashion sense. It's nice to see somebody trying to shake things up. No boring strapless evening dresses for her. Do I love her choices? Not for the VMA's, but she has worn some other stuff I really liked.

On the other hand Beyonce- who I have never been a fan of-totally blew Lady Gaga out of the water with her performance of "Single Ladies". I didn't love either of her outfits but, she can sing, and she can dance! Her performance was visually stunning. To put it in the words of my husband (who hates to dance): "That was the best thing ever!"
