Dolce and Gabbana SS 2012

These are my picks from the Dolce and Gabbana Spring/Summer 2012 show.
I have always dreamed of traveling Europe, and this collection just made me ache for a real getaway.
A kind of salute to all that is Italy. It was like Sofia Loren on a sultry afternoon with great food and red wine...

Milan Fashion Week F/W 2011: Prada and Miu Miu

 Miu Miu
PRADA

Miucchia Prada knows how to start a trend. I think we are going to be seeing a lot more of those shoes bags, and sun glasses in the pages of the glossies and on the red carpet gang. There is something powerful and timeless about the glamour of the 1940's (miu miu) and lively and rebellious about the mod era of the 1960's (prada). As always the colors are rich and intense and the collections as a whole are cohesive and with purpose.
Aren't you drooling over those gold shoes??

MILAN FASHION WEEK Spring 2011: MOSCHINO

Moschino never lets me down! I just can't get enough of the polk-a-dots, stripes, ruffles, and feminine shapes. A showcase of a lot of my favorite things: ribbon heels, bustiers, fleur de lis, and lots of belts. This is a decidedly a flirty, espresso at an outdoor cafe, shopping after brunch, cocktail party in the evening kind of collection.

DARK ROMANCE: DOLCE AND GABANNA FW2010

What can I say? I guess I'm a sucker for Dolce and Gabanna. They have this unique way of staying true to their brand image while pumping out new classics. The cut of the bustiers, pencils skirts, and jackets looks back to a vintage past: 20's flapper, 40's tough girl, 60's bombshell.  I am in love with the statement necklaces, the lace overlays, and the layers of hardware adorning everything from bags to jackets. Even the return to red lips feels fresh and modern. Black, gold, red, green, yellow, leopard, polka dots, and lingerie, oh my! Here are my favorites:

BITCH OUT: DSQUARED2 MFW 2010

Dean and Dan of Dsquared2 always manage to put on an amazing show, this one was no different. I liked their departure from sloppy college girl to hard ass bitch. This was kind of a return to classic shapes and traditional colors but styled with a modern twist. I didn't love the latex leggings (too Matrix) and the makeup wasn't amazing, but this collection definitely appeals to the Alexis Colby (from Dynasty) in me!

Meow! PS love the shoes

Leather with a twist

We will be seeing this on the red carpet

Love the zipper on the outside and it is sporting my favorite shape

Milan Fashion Week: D&G 2010= Swiss Miss

I'm not what you would call a snow bunny (in truth I have never even been skiing) but if I were to need an oh so darling wardrobe to wear to the Swiss chalet then this would be it. D&G- Dolce and Gabanna's lower priced line is really doin' it to me. All those alpine sweaters with deer and snowflakes, furry boots, and sultry shapes-Genius!

Loving the bustier top with the puff skirt in sweater knit

Honestly a sweater bathing suit completely impractical and completely HOT!

Puff sleeve sweater with the sheer skirt...mmmm

I love the idea of the sweater pattern becoming a graphic on this sheer top

Ok- this is on the edge of crazy town- but I still love it!

In the right place at the right time I would totally wear this.

This is givin' me all sorts of ideas for recycled sweater bustiers!
