GILES Spring/Summer 2012

 WOW.
This is a show to write home about.
Forget all the Black Swan references, this was a power packed visual feast!
Loved the shoes, those sunglasses are going to become a must have "it" item, and I thought the swan print fabric was genius. Laser cut silver leather dresses, feathered flounces, masquerade head dresses?
Yes, please.

The Super Model of Dogs

My husband and I own two great danes: Paul and Natasha. They are beautiful to behold, aren't they? Great danes originated in Germany and came from the combination of a Mastiff and a Grey Hound. Natasha is much more grey hound and Paul is much more Mastiff. These two are an inseparable pair. We take them camping, walking, to our in-laws house (much to their anxiety), and sometimes to the lake. No matter where we go people always stop us and ask us about our "horses". They draw a lot of attention, just like a supermodel. They can eat whatever they want and never get fat, they don't have any cellulite, and encountering them is pretty rare. Jealous yet? As a kid, it was my DREAM to own Great Danes...isn't it nice when you get what you want?

Birthday Girl

My birthday is coming up at the end of this month. I love horses, sadly I don't own one yet, so when thinking about my fantasy birthday Bianca Jagger came to mind. Imagine making your entry into Studio 54 upon a white horse! Seventies excess, over the top glamour...sounds like my kind of party.

Black.White.Animal Print.Marilyn. Oh My!

I love Dolce and Gabanna. They are always right on the money. This show is from the Fall/Winter 2009-2010 collection. Love the strong silhouette with the big shoulders, cinched waist, and killer accessories. Serious fashion with flirty detailing. I even love this U2 remix they used...check it out!
