Dark Pony Designs: Behind the Scenes

This is where the magic and a lot of hard work happens!
Every Dark Pony Designs item is dreamt up, sewn up, and boxed up right here.
My studio is in my former dining room of my home that I share with my husband and my two sons, who are kind enough to put up with all of my fashion nonsense. I would love for this room to be bigger and I would also love to have a closet, but I am a make it work kinda girl. Check out my Pinterest board of inspirations for the studio of my dreams. If I have to eat dinner every night in my laundry room (which is the current situation) I'll do it. I have a dream and I feel lucky to be able to do what I love. Hope you enjoy this sneak peek.

Inside My Lair...

Everyone knows dragons live in a lair...right? Well, I'm lucky enough to have one of my very own. I wanted to share a little behind the scenes of where all the magic (or more often) mess happens. As my husband described it to our boys: "Remember that mad scientist from the old Superman cartoons? Well, when Mom is in this room, she is that scientist, and this is her lab. So, don't disturb her or bad things might happen..." I like that analogy!

Birthday Girl

My birthday is coming up at the end of this month. I love horses, sadly I don't own one yet, so when thinking about my fantasy birthday Bianca Jagger came to mind. Imagine making your entry into Studio 54 upon a white horse! Seventies excess, over the top glamour...sounds like my kind of party.
