Nicholas Kirkwood for Keith Haring

Aren't these amazing? They won't be available until 2011 and I can wait to see them lighting up the pages of my favorite editorials!

Nude Nostalgia

My childhood heroines were all the baddest bitches of day and nighttime television. Alexis Colby, Erica Cane, Maddie Hayes, and Blanche Devereaux come to mind. These ladies were smart, sophisticated, snappy dressers and they all wore nude heels! I completely forgot about this trend until it recently started showing up on the red carpets and runways this season. Nude pumps complement brights, blacks and whites nicely. I sadly do not own one pair, but my birthday is coming up and I am definitely gonna fix that little problem!

Good Kitty...Mui Mui

What they say is true: "Once you go lux you never go back!" I found these on Ebay about five years ago. They are 50's housewife gone atomic, a strange battle between pin up and avant garde. They are amazingly comfortable and I feel a little elevated (pun intended) every time I wear them out, which is only on special occasions.

Behind the Lace Curtain

When done right, there is nothing like black lace. It is a timeless classic that, when used properly, can instantly transform the everyday into a naughty mystery. Think femme fatale, film noir, dangerous glamour, and major trend. I too fell under it's spell at an early age, influenced by the "Vogue" video, old Hollywood, and Joan Collins. Here is a collection of sheer genius.

Nothin' like a "new" pair of shoes...

While browsing ebay's overwhelming selection of designer goods I can't afford, I came across a pair of used darling Marc Jacobs kitten heels from a few seasons back.  I just couldn't resist the heart studs, so I bid $3.00 and actually won the auction for $1.49 + shipping!!! When the box showed up on my door step my bargain shopping heart was all a flutter. Nothin' like a "new" pair of shoes to perk a girl up.

Target Torture

I went into Target the other day, just to get toilet paper, and made the mistake of "browsing" otherwise known as torturing myself for fun. In 15 minutes I found about $500 worth of stuff that I would have liked to have put in that basket. But, I held back. Here are some of the finds I thought I would let my dear readers in on...

A Few of My Favorite Things

Over the summer I got some magazines that included some of my favorite fashion spreads. Oh, the hats, the  shoes, the glamour of it all... They inspired me and I wanted to share the inspiration here. Anyone who shares my addiction to magazines will understand that when you find something that really gets in your head, you just can't be quiet about it.
