Top Hats Top it Off

My current obsession is top hats for women-especially ones that have veiling. Top hats exude luxury, timeless appeal, and create an androgynous sexy mystery. Whether white or black, shiny or matte, these millinery wonders have topped off the most amazing icons of  pop culture. It's high fashion, it's equestrian chic, and it's burlesque femme fatale. If you want to make a statement this New Years Eve- I would suggest a little black bustier dress, killer stilettos, and sexy little top hat covered in veil!

This Hat is for the Birds!

Well, I've finally completed my first hat! It is made from a vintage shoulder pad, vintage birdcage veil, taffeta and 2 darling doves...I think I am addicted. I was very much inspired by the wedding ensemble worn by SJP in the Sex and the City Movie. There is something commanding about wearing feathers in your hair or a bird on your hat.

Green With Envy

I found this amazing vintage hat on etsy a few months ago and wanted to share it with you. It is so unusual and in such good condition. I can't wait to find the perfect place to wear it. It's one part "Little Shop of Horrors" and one part whimsical woodland fantasy. Loving the irony.

The Cherry on Top

I have a small obsession with over the top hats. If they include feathers, bird cage veil, and bows all the better. There is something about wearing a head turning hat that says: "I am a woman of fashion-so deal with it!" Here are some of my current favorites and I hope to be making some of my own designs soon.
