I have been in a circus-y mood lately. The vibrant colors and showmanship just make me happy.  I remembered this editorial featuring the amazing Kate Moss and shot by Craig McDean for W magazine. This is one of those spreads that got in my head I keep coming back to it.

A blonde bombshell is like a caged panther: powerful, beautiful, elegant, and unreachable. Like most brunettes I have longed to be a platinum blonde. About 5 years ago I managed to achieve a shade of gold even Gwen could be proud of! Eventually I had to admit defeat. I could not keep up with the maintenance, but I vowed to one day revisit the blonde. I am on my way now-my platinum highlights are quickly multiplying.

Top Hats Top it Off

My current obsession is top hats for women-especially ones that have veiling. Top hats exude luxury, timeless appeal, and create an androgynous sexy mystery. Whether white or black, shiny or matte, these millinery wonders have topped off the most amazing icons of  pop culture. It's high fashion, it's equestrian chic, and it's burlesque femme fatale. If you want to make a statement this New Years Eve- I would suggest a little black bustier dress, killer stilettos, and sexy little top hat covered in veil!
